Users with a current TreeAge Pro
license – either annual or standard with valid maintenance through January 1, 2012 –
can download TreeAge Pro 2012.
- Maintenance through January 1, 2012: TreeAge Pro 2012 (Rel. 1.0)
- Maintenance through July 1, 2011: TreeAge Pro 2011 (Rel. 2.0)
- Maintenance through January 1, 2010: TreeAge Pro 2011 (Rel. 1.0)
After installing the software, go to Help > License Manager... and click on Internet Authorization to unlock using your serial number. Unless unlocked, TreeAge Pro starts in 21-day trial mode with limited functionality.
We also recommend that you update the software via Help > Update after installation to apply patches that may be more current than the installers.

- Operating systems:
- TreeAge Pro 2012 for Windows® has been released. It requires Windows XP or later.
- TreeAge Pro 2012 for Max OSX® has been released. The installer below requires 64-bit OSX 10.6 or later. Alternative installation instructions are available for 64-bit OSX 10.5.8 via support@treeage.com.
- Versions of TreeAge Pro 2012 Linux/Unix will be released shortly (beta version may be downloaded now).
- The TreeAge Pro add-in for ExcelTM requires
Microsoft® Excel 2003 or later for Windows.
- TreeAge Pro 2012/2011 vs. 2009:
- An eligible license (expiring after January 1, 2012) that currently authorizes TreeAge Pro 2009 on a computer will automatically be applied to a new installation of TreeAge Pro 2012/2011 on the same computer.
- You may choose to install TreeAge Pro 2009 instead of TreeAge Pro 2012/2011 in order to use the same version as colleagues or instructors.
- You may install both versions on a single computer. If so, install TreeAge Pro 2009 first.
- Installing TreeAge Pro for the first time on a workplace desktop may require the user to login to Windows with local administrator privileges; see the installation instructions for details.
Single User Licenses (2011 or 2009) installed on a server will be automatically invalidated. A refund will not be provided.
For Network licenses, install the full TreeAge Pro software and the TreeAge Pro Network License Manager (TPNLS) on a Windows Server. Then install the client-only software on each client computer.
We recommend using the 32-bit full installer for the server in case not all the client computers are 64-bit. Download and install the 32-bit version for either R1.0 or R2.0 listed above depending on your license.
After installing the full TreeAge Pro, you then install the TPNLS on the server.
